Lahore (Sports Desk) Australia defeated Zimbabwe by 84 runs in the second match of the one-day series played in Harare to win the series.
Zimbabwe won the toss and invited Australia to bat. Australia scored 356 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Travis Head was the top scorer with 112 runs, while Cooper Connolly scored 78, captain Mitchell Marsh 53, Josh Inglis 21, Alex Carey 20 and Matt Renshaw 15. Oliver Peake remained unbeaten on 41 and Nathan Ellis on 6.
For Zimbabwe, Brad Evans took three wickets, Wellington Masakadza two and Wesley Madhevere one.
Chasing a target of 356, the hosts were bowled out for 272 in 48.3 overs. Captain Sikandar Raza was the top scorer with 45 runs, while Brendan Taylor scored 39, Craig Ervine 38, Innocent Kaia 34, Ben Curran 30, Wesley Madhevere 26, Brian Bennett 23, Brad Evans 12 and Newman Nyamhuri 2.
Blessing Muzarabani was dismissed without scoring, while Wellington Masakadza remained unbeaten on 10.
For Australia, Cooper Connolly, Josh Hazlewood, Matt Renshaw and Adam Zampa took two wickets each, while Nathan Ellis and Oliver Peake claimed one wicket apiece.
