Mirpur (Pakistan News) — Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the people of Mirpur gave the Pakistan Peoples Party a majority, and now it is their responsibility to ensure the protection of the people’s vote.
Addressing party workers, Bilawal Bhutto said that the situation that has emerged in Azad Jammu and Kashmir from Mirpur to Poonch cannot be called democracy. He paid tribute to the people and said that voters have expressed their trust in the Pakistan Peoples Party.
He said that the PPP will not step back from its position and will not bow before anyone. He stated that Chaudhry Yasin winning the city seat while losing from his home constituency is unacceptable, as according to him, similar situations have been witnessed in the past as well.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the Pakistan Peoples Party stands with the state and Pakistan and will support the government and state institutions in the national interest, but not for the benefit of any political party.
He demanded that the state of Pakistan review the situation and consider how much damage is being caused to the country and Azad Kashmir in the name of political interests. He said that Azad Kashmir will not be allowed to become occupied Kashmir under any circumstances.
The PPP chairman alleged that some elements want to establish a government through force and undemocratic methods; however, he emphasized that protecting the public mandate is essential.
