Washington (Commerce Desk) — US Senator Chuck Schumer has strongly criticized President Donald Trump for blaming Ukraine for diesel prices reaching a record high.
In a statement on the social media platform X, Chuck Schumer said that instead of blaming Ukraine, Trump was avoiding identifying the ongoing war with Iran as the real reason behind the increase in diesel prices.
According to the US senator, citizens know that Trump’s policies and the war with Iran are responsible for rising costs of diesel and other expenses.
Chuck Schumer further said that Trump’s blame game and lies cannot hide the reality of his disastrous economic performance.
It should be noted that diesel prices in the United States have reached an all-time high, exceeding $6.20 per gallon.
