Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Indian film actor Pradeep Rawat has passed away at the age of 74. He had been suffering from cancer for a long time.
According to Indian media, Pradeep Rawat had been undergoing treatment at a hospital for the past one month. His manager Siddharth Tiwari said that the actor’s cancer had worsened again, due to which he could not survive.
Pradeep Rawat is survived by his wife and son Vikram Aditya. Actor Yashpal Sharma, who worked with him in the film “Lagaan”, paid tribute to him by sharing his picture on the social media platform Instagram.
Pradeep Rawat began his acting career with the famous historical television drama “Mahabharat”, where he played the role of Ashwatthama and gained nationwide recognition.
Later, he entered the film industry and earned a prominent place in negative roles due to his distinctive voice, strong personality, and impressive acting skills.
His performances as the dangerous villain in Aamir Khan’s famous film “Ghajini”, the character Deva in “Lagaan”, as well as his roles in “Rowdy Rathore” and the successful South Indian film “Saaya”, were highly appreciated by audiences.
