Lahore (Sports Desk) Pakistan hockey team captain Imad Shakeel Butt has reportedly been denied a UK visa for the upcoming FIH Pro Hockey League matches.
According to reports, the visa was refused due to a previous overstay in England after his visa had expired. He had traveled to play in the English Hockey League a few months ago, where he remained in the country beyond his permitted visa duration.
It is said that although his club had assured an extension of the visa, the situation later led to complications. Upon returning home, he was also fined for the overstay, and this issue is believed to have affected his current visa application.
Meanwhile, in the FIH Pro Hockey League, the Pakistan hockey team suffered a 6–0 defeat against Belgium, marking their 11th consecutive loss in the tournament.
