Washington (Monitoring Desk) Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (International Monetary Fund), Kristalina Georgieva, has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.
In her statement, she said that the ceasefire is a positive development; however, it will take time to fully resolve disruptions in the energy sector and global supply chains.
According to the IMF chief, due to damage to infrastructure during the conflict, the restoration of supply cannot happen immediately.
She added that the global economy will require more time and stability to cope with the effects of the situation.
