Iran Denies Reports of Inviting IAEA Inspectors to Nuclear Facilities

Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei has strongly denied reports claiming that Iran has invited inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to visit its nuclear facilities.

According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, the spokesperson clarified while speaking to journalists that such reports published by certain media outlets are baseless.

He said that under the provisions of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, negotiations on the nuclear issue will take place under specific timelines and conditions, which require the fulfillment of pre-agreed requirements.

Ismail Baghaei stated that during the 60-day period, the current status of Iran’s nuclear program will remain unchanged, while routine inspections at some nuclear sites will continue.

However, he clarified that inspections at facilities where access for international inspectors was previously suspended due to past attacks will remain subject to future negotiations and their outcomes.

The Iranian spokesperson emphasized that all future developments regarding this matter will depend on ongoing talks and their final results.
