Islamabad (Pakistan News): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke by telephone with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during which the current situation in the region was discussed.
According to media reports, the two leaders discussed important regional matters as well as various issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on the latest developments.
Iran’s official news agency also confirmed the contact, saying that Abbas Araghchi held the conversation during his official visit to China.
The talks also covered the Pakistan-Iran border situation and joint efforts to establish lasting peace in the region, while both sides emphasized increasing mutual cooperation.
According to military and diplomatic circles, the contact between senior officials of the two neighboring countries is significant amid the current regional situation and could help further improve mutual coordination on regional security
