Tehran (Monitoring Desk) The commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Ismail Qaani, has issued a warning to Israel to immediately withdraw from southern Lebanon.
According to Iranian state media, he said that if Israel does not end its presence and operations in southern Lebanon, it may face consequences similar to the past.
In his statement, Ismail Qaani said that if Israel does not abandon its policies, it will have to leave the region in the same way it withdrew from southern Lebanon in 2000.
He further stated that the decision now lies with Israel, and if withdrawal does not take place, the situation may once again move in the same historical direction.
It is worth noting that Lebanon observes Independence Day every year on May 25, marking the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon in 2000.
