Bürgenstock, Switzerland (Monitoring Desk): Representatives of the United States and Iran, along with senior officials from Pakistan, Qatar and other relevant countries, are scheduled to meet tomorrow (Friday) in Bürgenstock.
According to the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, initial talks regarding the implementation of a recently signed reconciliation agreement between Iran and the United States will take place at the Bürgenstock resort, with multiple stakeholders in attendance.
The statement added that representatives from the United States and Iran, along with mediating countries including Pakistan and Qatar, will participate in the meeting. However, the detailed agenda and schedule have not yet been fully released.
Reports suggest that earlier a major diplomatic breakthrough occurred during a dinner held at the historic Versailles Palace, which accelerated recent developments.
A White House official confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron, while Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also signed the agreement.
The agreement has reportedly come into effect, aiming primarily at reducing tensions and moving toward ending conflict, which also led to the cancellation of a previously planned formal signing ceremony in Geneva.
