Islamabad (Pakistan News): Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has announced that a decision has been made to present the complete annual budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 19.
Speaking to a private television channel, he said that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has been given the green light to present the full budget and expressed hope that all members of the provincial assembly will attend the budget session.
Barrister Gohar stated that all assembly members would fully support the Chief Minister in securing approval of the provincial budget. According to him, the party had wished to consult with Imran Khan before the budget was presented.
He said that permission was not granted for a meeting with Imran Khan regarding budget consultations; however, no decision would be taken that could harm the interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PTI chairman further stated that the budget would be presented with a focus on public welfare, provincial development, and financial stability so that maximum benefits and facilities could be provided to the people of the province.
