Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Pakistani host Nida Yasir has criticized the trend of providing continuous financial support to married children by parents, saying that children should learn to stand on their own feet.
In a viral clip, Nida Yasir said that parents should make their children independent and arrange their marriages only when they are capable of taking responsibility for themselves.
She said that in some countries, young people start working at an early age and, after becoming adults, manage their own education, housing, and other expenses, whereas in Pakistan many parents continue to handle their children’s financial matters for a long time.
Nida Yasir stated that in our society, some young children sometimes take on household responsibilities, while on the other hand, even older individuals continue to depend on their parents for financial support.
She said that parents’ responsibilities do not end with providing education and covering expenses; they should also prepare their children to make their own life decisions and build a better future. According to her, the trend of self-reliance needs to be encouraged in society.
