Islamabad (Pakistan News): Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah met with Albert Khorev, the Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan, to discuss the promotion of bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including sports.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to accelerate the implementation of existing memorandums of understanding related to sports cooperation between Pakistan and Russia. On the occasion, Rana Sanaullah stated that cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of football, would be advanced on a priority basis.
The Federal Minister also said that mutual collaboration would be expanded to promote Russia’s traditional and popular sports. Describing Russia as a country with extensive experience and strong capabilities in sports, he noted that education, culture, the economy, and sports can play an important role in bringing the two nations closer together.
Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev said that Russia would benefit from Pakistan’s experience and expertise in promoting cricket within the country.
During the meeting, the Russian envoy also appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability between the United States and Iran.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to further expand cooperation between Pakistan and Russia across various fields.
