Pakistan, US Agree to Enhance Counterterrorism Cooperation

Islamabad (Pakistan News) The fourth round of Pakistan-US counterterrorism talks was held in Washington, D.C., where both countries expressed their commitment to further strengthen cooperation to address shared terrorism threats.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, detailed discussions were held on regional and global challenges posed by terrorism, while various aspects of enhancing bilateral cooperation were also reviewed.

The talks were led by US Counterterrorism Coordinator Gregory LoGiurato and Pakistan’s Special Foreign Secretary Ambassador Nabeel Munir, who headed their respective delegations.

Representatives from both countries emphasized protecting shared interests in the fight against terrorism, improving intelligence sharing, and making mutual cooperation more effective.

According to the joint statement, Pakistani and US delegations reviewed the current terrorism threat landscape and agreed to continue regular engagement, cooperation, and joint efforts in this field.
