Lahore (Sports Desk) The Pakistan Cricket Board (Pakistan Cricket Board) has cancelled the upcoming elections of the Bahawalpur Regional Cricket Association scheduled for next week.
According to an official statement issued by the PCB, a new election schedule will be announced later.
The board said the decision was taken after receiving multiple complaints, which included alleged interference by unidentified individuals, registration of false FIRs, and obstacles in the electoral process.
The statement added that arrests of voters and candidates, along with threatening phone calls, had affected the electoral environment, making it impossible to conduct transparent elections.
The PCB clarified that a new election schedule will be issued once the situation returns to normal.
