Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar): Amid the ongoing elections in Azad Kashmir, senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (N) met in Muzaffarabad in an effort to ease growing political tensions and prevent the election dispute from escalating further.
The meeting took place following the Mirpur election results, after which both parties exchanged strong statements and allegations of electoral rigging. The PPP claimed there were irregularities in the electoral process and raised questions about its transparency.
According to sources, the purpose of the meeting was to prevent electoral differences from affecting the coalition government at the federal level. It was reported that the meeting was held after consultations with the federal leadership.
Sources also claimed that the initiative had the support of the Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office. However, this claim could not be independently verified.
