Peshawar (Pakistan News): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has prepared a plan for sit-ins and camps at various locations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for its march towards Islamabad on September 27.
According to sources, sit-ins will be held at 12 locations across the province, while a strategy has been devised for a phased advance towards Islamabad. Under the plan, various sections of the motorway and GT Road within the provincial limits may be blocked.
The plan includes a sit-in at Attock Bridge for Peshawar, Khyber, Nowshera and Akora Khattak, while sit-ins are planned on the motorway in Malakand, Swabi, Mardan and Charsadda. A sit-in at Khushal Garh has been proposed for the southern districts.
Party organizations have been informed about the locations of the sit-ins and camps, while Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has called a meeting in Peshawar tomorrow to finalize the strategy.
Camps will be established at Hattar, Khanpur, Jhari Kas and Makhniyal on the Hazara Motorway in Haripur. In Abbottabad, Barian and Kohala, while in Swabi, Topi and locations along the M-1 Motorway have been designated.
In Nowshera, Khairabad Kund and Attock Bridge, in Lakki Marwat, Kundal, and in Kohat, Khushal Garh have been designated for the camps. All members of the National and Provincial Assemblies and senators have been assigned responsibility for participating in and managing the camps.
According to sources, the administration of each district will arrange food, drinking water and other essential supplies for workers present at the camps.
Party sources said the decision to march towards Islamabad on September 27 remains unchanged, while the purpose of establishing the camps is to provide necessary facilities to workers. According to the plan, a sit-in will be held wherever the route of the march is blocked.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will lead the march from Peshawar.
