Mumbai (Showbiz Desk) A Hyderabad court in Hyderabad has ordered actor Allu Arjun to appear in court on 22 June in connection with a case related to a stampede during the screening of the film Pushpa 2.
According to police, the actor has been named as the 11th accused in the case, while cinema management and other individuals have been listed among the first ten accused.
Authorities have expedited proceedings and have so far submitted challans against 23 individuals. Following this, the court has issued summons to a total of 19 accused persons.
The incident took place on 4 December 2024 during a special screening of Pushpa 2, when a stampede broke out inside the theatre. A woman died in the incident, while her son sustained serious injuries.
The actor’s legal team has confirmed the court appearance order. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s family has also met the victim’s family and assured cooperation in the matter.
