Islamabad (Pakistan News): After heavy rainfall in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the weather has become pleasant.
According to the Meteorological Department, 47 millimeters of rain was recorded in Gowalmandi, 44 millimeters in Kacheri, and 28 millimeters in Pirwadhai. Meanwhile, New Katarian received 32 millimeters, Bokra 27 millimeters, PMD 23 millimeters, and Shamsabad 19 millimeters of rainfall.
According to the Managing Director of WASA, staff equipped with heavy machinery are present in low-lying areas, while blockages in drains caused by previous rains have been cleared. Continuous monitoring of city drains and Nullah Lai is underway, and water flow remains normal.
Meanwhile, different areas of Lahore also received rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, a system of western winds along with weak monsoon currents is affecting northern parts of the country. Due to this, more rain is expected today in some areas of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
