Lahore (Showbiz Desk): Senior Pakistani actress and director Sangeeta has revealed that she has been married to film industry distributor Tariq Mendro for the past 14 years.
Speaking in a recent program, Sangeeta disclosed details about her current marriage for the first time. She said that her first marriage was to Humayun Qureshi and her second to Naveed Akbar, but both relationships ended, after which she married Tariq Mendro for the third time.
According to the actress, after her daughters got married, she began feeling lonely. During this period, Tariq Mendro proposed marriage to her several times. Sangeeta said she realized that as people grow older, they need a companion, and therefore decided to get married.
Talking about her current married life, Sangeeta said that her husband neither uses abusive language nor physically assaults her, and does not argue without reason. She added that whenever he is angry, her husband quietly leaves the room.
