Rawalpindi (Pakistan Khabar): Several militants were killed and a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to security sources, effective intelligence-based operations have been ongoing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the past two months under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. In this regard, several hideouts of terrorists were destroyed during operations carried out in different areas of North Waziristan.
Sources said that several militants were killed during an operation conducted in the Khatti Killi area, while weapons, ammunition and other war equipment were recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists.
Security sources stated that reports of several terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij being injured during the operation have also emerged.
The security forces said that the protection of civilians remains their top priority during such operations, and all necessary measures are being taken to prevent harm to the local population.
The security forces have made it clear that operations will continue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until the establishment of peace and the complete elimination of terrorism.
