Karachi (Commerce Desk): The State Bank of Pakistan has issued the second monetary policy of the current fiscal year, deciding to keep the interest rate unchanged at 11.50%.
According to the central bank, the Monetary Policy Committee made no change to the policy rate and retained it at 11.50%.
In the previous monetary policy as well, the State Bank had kept the interest rate unchanged at 11.50%.
It may be recalled that economists had expected the central bank to increase the interest rate by up to another 50 basis points.
