Islamabad (Pakistan News): Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi has said that a judicial bench will also be constituted during evening hours for the early hearing of pending cases.
Addressing a full court meeting, the Chief Justice said that the procedure for fixing cases has been published on the website, and now no case is fixed even on his request.
He rejected the perception that judges take three months of vacation, saying that judges take only one month of leave during the three-month period.
According to Justice Yahya Afridi, 75 cases were fixed before a bench in a single day, while two officers have also been appointed to re-examine the cases included in the cause list.
The Chief Justice said a separate bench is being constituted for applications seeking early hearings, which will hear cases during evening hours.
He further said that the Shariat Appellate Bench will sit for one week every two months.
