Washington (Monitoring Desk): FBI Director Kash Patel has revealed that the United States has established limited new partnerships with China and Russia over the past year aimed at taking joint action against global crimes.
In an interview with a news agency, Kash Patel said that working groups have been formed with both countries, through which officials have been exchanged, joint investigations conducted, intelligence information shared, and certain operations carried out.
According to the FBI director, Chinese law enforcement officials regularly visit the United States, while American officials also travel to China to work on various cases.
Kash Patel said that in May, an operation called “Operation Sand Dollar” was conducted in cooperation with China’s Ministry of Public Security and Dubai Police against a major cyber fraud center. During the operation, 300 people were arrested, $300 million was seized, and thousands of victims of human trafficking were freed.
He clarified that this cooperation is limited only to specific crimes and will not affect the importance of relations with America’s traditional allies.
