Bollywood’s Class Divide Exposed, Behavior of Top Actors Comes to Light

Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Renowned Indian film and television actor Rajesh Kumar has openly spoken about the class divide in Bollywood, stating that lead actors often avoid even rehearsing with supporting actors, which negatively affects on-screen harmony.

The 51-year-old actor, who hails from the Gaya district of the Indian state of Bihar, has worked alongside prominent personalities in several major films as a supporting actor and has earned recognition through his performances.

In a recent YouTube interview, he revealed that on many occasions, lead actors do not even consider it appropriate to communicate with the supporting cast, which is harmful to a professional working environment.

He further shared that in the successful 2025 film Sai Yaara, he played the role of actress Anita Padda’s father. However, on the film set, most key decisions were limited to a select few individuals, including the director, cinematographer, lead actor, and writer, while others were reduced to mere spectators.

Recalling an incident, Rajesh Kumar said that a major actor ignored him and, instead of speaking to him directly, asked his assistant why the dialogue was being delivered in a particular way. The actor also refused to rehearse and insisted on going straight to the shoot.

He emphasized that such behavior and the class divide within the film industry need to end in order to produce better and higher-quality work.
