Kabul (Monitoring Desk) A major conference was held in Islamabad to mark the completion of five years of the Taliban regime, organized in collaboration with the Institute of Regional Studies and South Asia Times.
The conference was attended by representatives of policy circles, think tanks, experts on Afghanistan affairs, domestic and foreign observers, policymakers, diplomatic officials, and professionals from various fields.
The conference declaration said that despite five years having passed, the Taliban government has badly failed to introduce an inclusive system of governance, while its claims of an inclusive government and provision of basic human rights have also not yet been fully realized.
According to the declaration, the Shura system is weak, and the Afghan people are bearing the consequences of the government’s failures.
The declaration said that the Taliban regime, which claims to uphold Sharia, appears to be heavily influenced by Takfiri ideologies, while the Taliban, who claim to uphold so-called Sharia, have become the biggest supporters of the Khawarij.
Due to severe ideological differences, tensions between the Kabul and Kandahar groups have also intensified.
The declaration described the situation of women as concerning, saying that they have been deprived of access to education and employment, while the Taliban government has also failed to address the concerns of the regional and international community.
According to the conference declaration, the Taliban regime has also failed in the economic sphere, and the Afghan people are suffering from inflation and unemployment.
The declaration said that the TTP, Islamic State Khorasan, BLA and other terrorist groups continue to exist in Afghanistan, due to which Pakistan and other neighboring countries are also not safe from terrorism emanating from Afghanistan.
