Abu Dhabi (Web Desk): Memorabilia belonging to Michael Jackson, British Princess Diana and other renowned personalities will be offered at auctions in Abu Dhabi in December.
According to foreign media, Julien’s Auctions will hold three separate auctions at Rosewood Abu Dhabi from December 5 to 10, featuring rare items related to music, fashion, film and popular culture.
Michael Jackson’s crystal-encrusted glove will be among the items offered at auction. He wore the glove while posing for the cover of Vibe magazine in 2002. It is estimated to fetch between $40,000 and $60,000.
A pair of shoes worn by Michael Jackson in the iconic music video “Thriller” will also be auctioned, along with a personal letter from the singer to choreographer Michael Peters. Two jackets associated with Jackson’s Bad era will also be offered.
Princess Diana’s Gown Also Up for Auction
A dark blue gown worn by Princess Diana will also be offered. Designed by Catherine Walker, Diana wore the gown at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York in 1995. The gown is estimated to fetch between $200,000 and $400,000.
Other Diana memorabilia includes suede shoes from Selfridges and a Ralph Lauren shirt worn by the princess.
The third auction, titled “Pop Culture Legends,” will feature memorabilia associated with other renowned personalities, including Bruce Lee, Banksy, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Madonna, Eddie Van Halen and Sabrina Carpenter.
