Momer Rana’s Wife Granted Khula, Family Court Issues Decree

Karachi (Showbiz Desk): Mehnaz, wife of renowned actor Momer Rana, has obtained a khula from a family court in Lahore, which has issued a decree in her favour.

Family Court Judge Zahid Bashir announced the decision after hearing the petition. The petitioner was represented by lawyer Khadija Siddiqui, who presented her arguments.

The petition alleged that Momer Rana physically assaulted and verbally abused his wife after consuming alcohol. According to the petitioner, the actor repeatedly used inappropriate language while intoxicated, even in front of their daughters, allegedly causing them mental distress.

The petitioner stated that she married Momer Rana on October 24, 1998, and that they have 2 daughters together. She also alleged that the actor did not contribute towards household expenses.

The petition further stated that family members had made several attempts to improve Momer Rana’s behaviour, but he refused to seek treatment. The petitioner asked the court to grant her a khula decree, stating that she could no longer continue the marriage.

The court ruled in the petitioner’s favour and issued the khula decree.
