Moscow (Web Desk): The unusual and mysterious movement of two Russian military satellites in space has drawn the attention of international experts.
According to reports, the satellites named Kosmos 2581 and Kosmos 2583, launched by Roscosmos in February 2025, came extremely close to each other last week at an altitude of approximately 585 kilometers above Earth.
Experts say the distance between the two satellites reduced to just a few meters, which is considered an unusual and sensitive situation in space operations.
The event was monitored by the U.S.-based space tracking company Comspoc, which described it as a complex and abnormal orbital maneuver.
According to the company, the satellites did not pass each other in a normal straight trajectory but performed controlled and precise movements, raising concerns that this could be part of an experimental or advanced technological activity.
Experts warn that such close approaches in orbit raise serious questions about collision risks and the monitoring systems used for tracking objects in space.
