Lahore (Showbiz Desk): Actress Nimra Shahid has responded to recent remarks made by singer Falak Shabir, triggering a fresh debate within the entertainment industry.
In an interview, Nimra Shahid said that if Falak Shabir and his wife Sarah Khan are living abroad, then it raises questions about which social system they are referring to, as different lifestyles and dress cultures are commonly seen in other countries.
The actress stated that children learn the culture and values taught by their parents, and if a family is residing outside Pakistan, the direct impact of local social changes is relatively limited.
Nimra Shahid added that while she does not consider Falak Shabir’s viewpoint entirely wrong, she believes the way it was expressed was not appropriate. She said that Pakistan is an Islamic country and all matters should be conducted within the framework of Islamic principles.
She further said that Falak Shabir should not be overly concerned, as his wife Sarah Khan is a talented actress who has delivered strong performances in dramas and has also made a notable mark in the fashion industry.
It is worth noting that Falak Shabir recently requested the Chief Minister of Punjab to introduce legislation regarding inappropriate dress in public places, after which several showbiz personalities have reacted to the issue.
