California (Web Desk): Technology company Google has introduced new changes to the YouTube mobile app, aimed at helping users access videos that match their interests more easily.
Under the redesigned interface, the top section of the app has been simplified, making it easier for users to switch between videos on different topics. The update also introduces a custom feeds feature, giving users greater control over video recommendations.
With this feature, users will be able to create separate video feeds based on topics of their choice rather than being limited to categories already suggested by the platform. For example, users interested in smartphone advertisements can enter relevant keywords to create a dedicated feed on that subject.
The new feature will also allow newly available videos related to users’ stated interests to be added to their feeds, making it easier for them to discover content they enjoy.
According to technology experts, custom feeds will make the YouTube viewing experience more personalised and give users greater freedom to decide what kind of content they want to watch.
