Seoul (Monitoring Desk): North Korea conducted its second missile test within a week, heightening concerns about rising tensions in East Asia.
According to South Korea’s news agency, on March 14, 2026, North Korea launched approximately 10 ballistic missiles toward the sea from the Sinan area near Pyongyang.
One of the missiles traveled around 340–350 kilometers before landing in Japanese waters. Both Japan and South Korea confirmed that the missile fell outside their exclusive economic zones and caused no damage.
A few days earlier, North Korea had tested strategic cruise missiles, an exercise personally observed by leader Kim Jong Un. This test involved a new warship to evaluate its naval strike capabilities.
