Pakistan Lose 11 World Test Championship Points After England Defeat

Lahore (Sports Desk) — Pakistan’s problems have increased further following their defeat by England, with the national team facing a heavy penalty for a slow over rate.

According to the ICC, Pakistan were fined 50 percent of their match fee for bowling 11 overs short of the required number during the scheduled time in the Edgbaston Test.

As a penalty for the slow over rate, 11 World Test Championship points were also deducted from Pakistan, leaving the national team with only 5 points.

The national team is currently at the bottom of the World Test Championship standings.

According to the rules, a fine of 5 percent of the match fee is imposed for each over that is short of the required number within the allotted time.
