Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has said that Pakistan has secured 34th position in the global ranking of around 900 ports, while a significant improvement has also been recorded in Karachi Port’s global maritime connectivity.
In a statement, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said Karachi Port’s Port Liner Shipping Connectivity Index score has risen to 343, indicating strong links with global trade.
He said the Port Liner Shipping Connectivity Index is compiled based on data from around 900 ports worldwide, according to which Pakistan has moved up to 34th position in the global ranking.
