PTA limits access to 202 digital assets under cyber surveillance, strengthens digital security

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has revealed that during April–May 2025, several measures were taken to strengthen national digital security, including restricting access to a total of 202 digital assets.

According to the released report, a 24/7 active cyber surveillance system was maintained to ensure timely prevention of online threats, misinformation, and propaganda activities.

The authority stated that certain foreign content was also removed from various OTT platforms, while coordinated actions were taken with relevant agencies against misleading information originating across borders.

The report said these steps were aimed at securing the national digital environment and effectively countering organized propaganda campaigns against the country.

According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), these operations have further strengthened digital security and improved monitoring systems within cyberspace.
