Lahore (Pakistan Khabar) — PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is marching for the establishment of an independent judiciary and an independent Election Commission.
Addressing a lawyers’ convention at the Lahore High Court Bar, Barrister Gohar said that PTI founder Imran Khan is imprisoned in jail in false cases and urged that the party not be pushed against the wall.
He said that formal debate should be held in the assembly to resolve issues, including those concerning provinces, so that matters can be settled through constitutional and democratic means.
Addressing the lawyers’ convention, Hamid Khan said that the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments were introduced with the aim of controlling the judiciary.
He said that the individuals being appointed as judges do not have the ability to provide justice. Hamid Khan questioned why the interior minister remains in office when he himself says that the system has failed.
