New York (Web Desk) — The growing use of artificial intelligence and robot technology has created new conveniences in daily life, but it has also increased concerns about the future of human jobs. Drawing attention to the issue, around 30 robots staged a unique protest in Poland’s capital Warsaw, demanding stricter laws governing artificial intelligence and robotization.
The demonstration was held outside Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs, where various types of robots marched while carrying flags. Pre-recorded slogans were broadcast through speakers. In addition to two-legged humanoid robots, four-legged robotic dogs also took part in the protest.
Robots’ Slogans Raise Questions About the Future of Employment
During the demonstration, slogans such as “Defend jobs,” “It’s time to make rules,” and “Don’t wait, make regulations” were chanted. The unique protest highlighted the current capabilities of robot technology while also raising the question of what the future of employment would look like if robots began performing human-oriented tasks.
The protest was organized by an initiative called “Democratism,” which aims to promote public debate on the impact of artificial intelligence and robotization on the labor market.
