Lahore (Sports Desk) — A decision has been made to improve sports infrastructure for the successful hosting of the SAF Games in Pakistan.
According to Secretary IPC Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved a package of Rs5.7 billion for upgrading infrastructure for the SAF Games.
According to the Ministry of IPC, sports facilities in various cities, including the Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad, will be modernized, with a total of Rs5.7 billion to be spent on the proposed development projects.
Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani said approval of the package was an important development in preparations for hosting the SAF Games. Under the plan, the quality and capacity of facilities at sports centers will be enhanced and upgraded according to international standards.
The IPC secretary said timely implementation and completion of the projects would be ensured, while the upgraded sports centers would continue to benefit Pakistani athletes even after the SAF Games conclude.
According to the Ministry of IPC, the development projects for hosting the SAF Games will be carried out in cooperation with the relevant institutions.
