Islamabad (Pakistan News): PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said that it would have been better if certain words had not been used in Maulana Fazlur Rehman's speech. However, the attacks launched in response were also inappropriate.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Barrister Gohar said the entire nation collectively confronts external disorder, but internal discord causes greater damage to the country.
He said political leaders should play their role in reducing tensions in the country rather than escalating them. Tensions are already very high, and it is essential to prevent them from rising further.
The PTI chairman said his party would not cross the red line and maintained that Pakistan and the state come first. He said actions that harm political leadership and democracy should be avoided.
Barrister Gohar further said the government and opposition should be given equal representation in electoral reforms, which should be carried out impartially and in accordance with public aspirations.
