Lahore (Pakistan News) A weak weather system producing dusty winds and rain is present in various areas of Punjab, including Lahore, due to which a partial change in weather is expected.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded at 26°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 34°C. Today, dusty winds along with rain are also forecast in various parts of Punjab, including Lahore.
The PDMA Punjab has issued an alert across the province regarding storms, rain, and hail. According to the alert, there is a possibility of rain in most districts of Punjab.
The affected areas include Rawalpindi, Murree, the Galiyat region, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Layyah, Faisalabad, Jhang, Okara, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, and Wazirabad, where rain with strong winds is expected in some places.
Similarly, rain has also been forecast in Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Khushab, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Kot Addu, and Mandi Bahauddin.
The department has also indicated the possibility of rain in Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, and Jhang among other areas.
According to the DG PDMA, following the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, all Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners have been placed on alert. WASA has also been instructed to remain in the field in view of possible rainfall in Lahore.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay in safe places during storms and thunderstorms and avoid open fields. Farmers and tourists have also been instructed to take precautionary measures according to the weather situation.
