New York (Sports Desk) — In the women’s event of the year’s final Grand Slam tennis tournament underway in New York, the top four seeded players have secured places in the semifinals.
Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula and Coco have successfully reached the semifinals. The four players are seeded No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
This is the first time in 51 years in US Open tennis history that all four top-seeded players have managed to reach the final four.
In addition, this is the first time since the 2009 Wimbledon Championships that the top four seeds have qualified for the semifinals of a women’s event at any Grand Slam.
