Lahore (Sports Desk): Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the final of the tri-nation series.
Speaking at the toss ahead of the match at Gaddafi Stadium, national team captain Shaheen Afridi said Shadab Khan was unavailable due to illness. Faheem Ashraf has been included in the team in his place.
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan captain Kusal Mendis said that despite losing the toss, his team knew its strategy for batting first. Mahesh Theekshana has replaced Eshan Malinga in the Sri Lankan team.
It is worth noting that Pakistan are aiming to win their first-ever ODI tri-nation series trophy on home soil. Pakistan last won an ODI tri-series title in 2008 in Bangladesh, where they defeated India in the final.
