Lahore (Sports Desk): Pakistan cricket team’s star batter Babar Azam had a disappointing return to domestic cricket, as his angry reaction after getting dismissed in a Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match became a topic of discussion on social media.
In a match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold 2026-27, Babar Azam appeared extremely disappointed after losing his wicket. After being controversially given out in the first innings, he also failed to deliver a notable performance in the second innings and returned to the pavilion after scoring 42 runs.
Unable to control his emotions after getting out early, the national cricketer angrily smashed his bat onto the pitch. The video of the incident quickly spread across social media and attracted the attention of cricket fans.
Already facing criticism due to his recent poor performances, Babar Azam has received mixed reactions from social media users over his behaviour.
Some fans described his reaction as a result of the pressure and frustration of the game, while others criticised the conduct of a senior player.
