Dubai Airport Introduces AI-Based System to Accelerate Immigration Process

Dubai (Web Desk) — Dubai Airport has introduced an advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-based system for international travelers, making the immigration process faster and easier than ever before.

Under the new system, passengers will no longer need to present passports, identification documents, or tickets through the traditional method during border control. Instead, their identity will be verified within seconds through advanced biometric technology.

According to reports, the modern facility was initially launched in September 2025 for passengers boarding flights; however, it is now also being introduced for passengers arriving at Dubai Airport.

The system uses artificial intelligence, advanced biometric cameras, and flight data to automatically complete the verification process of passengers and their luggage.

The key feature of the new system is that up to 10 passengers will be able to pass through border control simultaneously, while the complete identification and clearance process will be completed in just 3.4 seconds.

At Dubai Airport’s Terminal 3, passengers using this facility will have to pass through a designated route, where they will neither need to present documents nor wait in long queues.

Passengers will only need to complete their passport information and photo registration before arriving in Dubai, after which advanced technology will carry out the identification process.

According to Dubai Airports Chief Executive Paul Griffiths, the airport administration has invested in advanced camera technology to provide greater convenience to passengers during arrival and departure procedures.

He said that the technology is initially being tested for first-class passengers, and after successful results, it will gradually be made available to all passengers.
