Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Uttarakhand minister Subodh Uniyal has refused to apologise to singer Daler Mehndi over their recent heated exchange, rejecting reports claiming that he had expressed regret over the incident.
In an interview, Uniyal stood by his position, saying he had done nothing wrong and therefore there was no question of apologising to the singer. When asked whether he had apologised to Daler Mehndi, he categorically denied doing so.
The minister also expressed displeasure over reports suggesting that he had apologised to the singer. He said that if Daler Mehndi was unwell, he should either have cancelled his performance or informed the organisers and audience about his condition beforehand.
