New York (Web Desk): If your WhatsApp account has suddenly been disabled or blocked, the reason may not be your mistake but a technical issue within the application.
According to reports, thousands of WhatsApp users around the world faced temporary account blocks, after which many people reported the issue on social media. Affected users were seeing messages on WhatsApp related to account review.
Meta has confirmed the issue and said that it occurred due to a technical problem, and steps are being taken to resolve it. The company stated that efforts are underway to restore access to the affected accounts.
Users reported that when they tried to open their accounts, a message appeared stating that their account and device information were being reviewed to verify whether they had violated WhatsApp’s terms of service. The message also stated that the result would be provided within 24 hours.
It should be noted that WhatsApp has more than 3 billion users worldwide, so even a minor technical issue can affect a large number of people.
Although Meta has acknowledged the problem, the company has not yet clarified which countries or regions were affected or what the actual cause of the issue was.
