California (Web Desk) WhatsApp has started working on a new feature to make it easier to find a required message in old conversations, after which users will no longer need to go to the chat information screen for searches.
According to a report, WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a search shortcut within chats in the beta version for iOS, through which users will be able to search for old messages directly from the chat screen.
Currently, to find an old message in a chat, users have to leave the chat and go to Chat Info, where they select the search option and look for the required content. However, finding a specific message in a conversation that has continued for a long time can be time-consuming.
Under the new feature, a search shortcut will be available on the chat screen. However, the button will not remain visible at all times and will appear when users scroll upward to reach older messages.
This सुविधा can shorten the search process for users who use long chats, as they will not need to repeatedly open the Chat Info screen.
According to the report, the feature will not be limited to chats, as work is also underway to provide the facility in WhatsApp Channels, allowing users to search for older posts and updates available in channels.
Currently, the feature is being tested in the beta version, so no final date has been announced for its official availability to general users.
