Azma Bukhari Responds to PTI Propaganda Over Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme

Lahore (Pakistan Khabar) — Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has responded to what she described as PTI propaganda by releasing videos featuring families who received homes under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar scheme.

Azma Bukhari said, “Enough ignorance has been displayed; now the truth should also be known.” According to her, these are families who have not been presented with the plaque of any political party, but are instead seeing the dream of an ordinary Pakistani family become a reality.

The Punjab information minister asked: If these houses were built only during the PTI’s tenure, then who issued 214,302 interest-free loans? Who provided more than Rs278.46 billion in interest-free loans, and how were 120,753 houses completed?

She said 60,464 houses are still under construction, which indicates that the project is continuing.

Azma Bukhari said that attempts to establish political ownership over people’s homes may succeed on social media, but the testimony of the genuine beneficiaries living in these houses cannot be denied.

She said Apni Chhat Apna Ghar is not about the politics of plaques but is a practical project aimed at providing people with their own homes.

According to Azma Bukhari, those who have no performance to show create stories about houses built by others. No matter how much propaganda is carried out, a home remains a home, and the family holding the keys to that home is the real witness.
