Bangladesh (Monitoring Desk): Bangladesh has adopted a positive stance toward the possibility of joining the defense cooperation framework established between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
Humayun Kabir, foreign affairs adviser to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, said Dhaka is considering the possibility of joining the economic or defense framework of the three countries while taking into account its national interests and changing conditions in the global economy and trade.
According to Humayun Kabir, Bangladesh is also taking steps to further strengthen normal diplomatic relations with Pakistan, increase trade and promote people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is also expected to visit Saudi Arabia following an invitation from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
