New Delhi (Monitoring Desk) — In the Indian state of Karnataka, a heated argument over a friend eating more chicken tikka during a gathering took a serious turn when one man stabbed his friend to death.
According to police, Arun Kumar and Sitaram had an argument over pieces of chicken tikka, during which Arun Kumar attacked Sitaram with a knife. The severely injured Sitaram was immediately taken to a hospital.
Police officers reached the hospital and detained Arun Kumar for questioning. During the investigation, the suspect confessed to attacking his friend with a knife.
In a statement to police, Arun Kumar said that Sitaram had picked up and eaten more pieces of chicken than him, which led to an argument between the two and eventually resulted in the knife attack.
According to Indian media, Sitaram could not survive the severity of his injuries and died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police have registered a murder case and started further investigation into the incident.
